Rosemary Oglesby-Henry

I am Rosemary. The CEO & founder of Rosemary’s Babies Co. Mother of two who lives her life in service of others.

Rosemary’s accomplishments are truly impressive:
Rosemary Oglesby-Henry is a bridge-builder, nationally-known Leadership Educator, and the founder and CEO of Rosemary Babies Company, an impact organization (501c3) committed to helping teen parents master the concepts of self-leadership to leave a legacy. She has been featured in national magazines like Forbes and Fortune; received numerous accolades including an Ohio Senate Award and Pillar Award for 2020 Non-profit Executive Director of the Year from Smart Business Magazine.

Rosemary also known as, a Super-leader, Leader of Leaders, and The Rose Who Blossomed through the Concrete, has achieved all of her educational and career success because of her resilience and fortitude to change the trajectory of her life and her family since becoming a teen parent at the age of 16. Rosemary through her youth and teen years was forced to face the social ills of society within her impoverished community, Avondale, while growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Graduating from Withrow High school as a teen parent, she understood the stigma and challenges teen parents face firsthand as well as the determination that single parents need to rise above adversity. Rosemary’s personal commitment to her children, strong faith in God, social support, and self-motivation kept her focused on her goals.  Throughout her journey to remove the stigma from which she associated herself, worthless and uneducated, she maintained an immense desire to give back. To be successful in any capacity, she believed, an accredited degree was vital to building her business and for her personal success; further for breaking the cycle of generational pregnancy and poverty within her family. This has been achieved.

Despite the obstacles, she successfully managed a home, raised two children with her husband and long-time sweetheart of 23 years and maintained a 17-year career with the United States Postal Service. Ms. Oglesby-Henry, held to her educational goals for more than 15 years to obtain a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, a Business Administration degree, and an Associate of Art in Human Resources. The Rosemary’s Babies program was conceptualized during her Master’s program at Mount St. Joseph University in 2013.

Rosemary established the Rosemary’s Babies Company as her second act, in an effort to educate the community, advocate for rights that render teen parents helpless, and support young parents who feel, by having a child during early adolescence, they have been sentenced to a life of poverty. Rosemary’s Babies Company, an impact organization (501c3) is committed to helping teen parents master the concepts of self-leadership to leave a legacy. The Cincinnati-based organization, which serves 200 families per year, the goal is to eradicate generational pregnancy and poverty by supporting families, educating communities, and advocating for policy/law changes that are biased and render teen parent families helpless. Rosemary’s plight to change the outlook on youth pregnancy and parenthood has led her to share her mission on local as well as national platforms. Her media presence includes Fortune, Money, Movers and Makers, and as a contributing writer for the US Ambassadors for Girls & Women in Forbes Magazine. Rosemary’s Babies is recognized as a best in class
resource for teen parents and families.

Rosemary has a passion for causes such as education disparity, teen pregnancy, and poverty alleviation (childhood/generational). Rosemary Oglesby-Henry’s personal mission is to contribute to economic growth and the improvement of living standards. Through effective leadership, education and service, she commits to making a social impact.

Her favorite quote and one she lives by is:

“No one can beat you down lower than you, but no one can lift you up higher than you.”

At present, Rosemary is a member of the Cradle Cincinnati Policy Committee, the Metropolitan Club Roebling Society, the Avondale Development Corporation, and the National Small Business Association.

Rosemary Oglesby-Henry is a well-respected city leader and influencer. Her honors include receiving an Education Partner Award from Northern Kentucky NAACP, Cincinnati Business Courier 40under40, An Unsung Heroine Award, a
2020 Pillar Award for Non-profit, Executive Director of Year Award from Smart Business Magazine, Forbes Leading Women in Business, and a 2018 Ohio Senate Award.
