Meet Ellie Jonas . . .
What High School do you attend?
Ursuline Academy
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have 3 siblings, a brother who graduated from UC, and two sisters, one is at OSU and the other graduated from UC. My dad went to UC and is now an automotive engineer, and my mom went to UK.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to go to UC and become a secondary education mathematics teacher.
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I like to eat at Skyline and Prima Vista.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to France, because I have taken the language in high school, and I really want to experience the beautiful and romantic atmosphere for myself.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite TV show is Friends, because it always makes me happy when I watch.
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
It would be to keep trying your hardest in school, but to not forget to take breaks and to have fun.
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
I would want to cast in Grey’s Anatomy, because I’ve seen all of it, and I feel like I know each characters lines so well.
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would choose to have lunch with Brittany Spears because I want to ask her how she got the confidence to start her singing so young . I’m not a singer but I adore the confidence she had at such a young age and her uniqueness, I would bring her to Jeff Ruby’s.
What is your favorite thing about our community?
I enjoy that there are so many options for where you can live such as: a farm, the city, a small suburb.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself as a high school teacher and having a side job with a fashion company.
What is something on your bucket list?
I hope to go skydiving.
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
My favorite singer is lil Uzi, definitely a go to.
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is June because in the summer I feel so free, my favorite holiday is Christmas because I look forward to seeing my whole family. The best day in the calendar is May 30 when we get out of school.
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
I want to go to a country concert with all my friends
Who inspires you to be better?
My siblings inspire me to do better when I see all they have achieved.
