What High School do you attend?
Clark Montessori High School
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am the youngest of four kids, and my parents are Andy and Lauren Theuerling. My sibling’s names are Alyssa Bryant (the eldest), Nick Theuerling, and Trevor Theuerling. My sister has a son named Emerson Byant, and I have a brother-in-law named Will Bryant. We are all very close and have a great relationship. My parents are both very accomplished nurses, with my mom being an OBGYN/professor at the Christ College of Nursing and Natural Sciences and my dad a cardiac cath lab nurse at the VA. Additionally, my siblings are very successful in their academics. My sister graduated from the Mount St. Joesph University and is now in her master’s program in Social work at the University of Cincinnati, my brothers Nick and Trevor are also graduating this year from college, Nick from Cincinnati State with his Associates in Marketing and Trevor from the Mount St. Joesph University in Graphic Design. Being the youngest of four has taught me what to do and, most importantly, what not to do. I love my family, and the love and support we have shared have helped me through some of the most challenging times in my life.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to attend Mount St. Joesph University and dual major in Fine Arts and Computer Science – Natural Language Processing.
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Thai Taste and Pho Lang Thang (both are amazing and I highly recommend!)
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, I would go to New York City. I had a school trip scheduled for New York before COVID-19 hit and I was very excited because I had never been there before. We were going to learn about the culture and visit various sites and museums to learn more about the vibrancy and history of this fantastic city. Because of my interest in history and art, I truly believe the growing environment in New York would be wonderful fit for my personality. This is something I have missed with the pandemic, being able to go to new places freely and truly embrace the environment. I hope one day to make it to New York and have the experience I hoped so much for, especially going to the MET!
What is one of your favorite TV shows?
Parks and Recreation
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
The advice I would pass on to younger students at my school would be to try and organize yourself and put yourself first. So many times in high school, I put my work ahead of myself, and even though I made good grades, I put a lot of added stress on my shoulders. When you are in high school, have fun! It may seem that it will last a long time, but it won’t. I wish I would have given myself a break and had more fun and not let the workload get to me. Most people will tell you that your junior year will be one of the most challenging times and you have to push yourself to do well. Not to mention that the workload increases, and there are new teachers that you must adjust to. During this time, use a planner, write down ALL homework that you need to get done, and budget your time when you get home to get it done, especially if you are an athlete. Being a student-athlete, I remember this from my freshman year soccer coach; she said, “you are a student before you are an athlete; books come before sports.” This is something I always kept with me, and I pass that insight on to you. Clark is a very demanding school, but once you are out of the hard parts, it is so comforting and empowering to know that you can make it through anything. One of the biggest instances I see this in is the Senior Project, where you work on a year-long project focused on a topic of your choice. In wrapping that up this week, I am so proud of what I could create for individuals at Clark.
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
New Girl
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would want to have lunch with Maya Angelou. She is one of the many women I look up to and hope to be half the woman she was. Her writing captured all audience’s attention, and she covered topics in her pieces that so many tried to push aside. I would want to ask her about what made her want to write, who was her biggest influence, and how I can set a successful path for my future. She is a true icon in the world, and her words reflect the beauty of her mind. I would want to have lunch with her at the Incline House because, during our conversation, as we talk about the things that influence me, she could look at the skyline of beautiful Cincinnati.

Ariana Grande or The Weekend.
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month and holiday are both in October. I love Halloween. It has always been my favorite holiday. Since my birthday is on October 11th, I have grown up with Halloween-themed birthday parties. Between dressing up and getting free candy until 11:30 pm in various neighborhoods, I loved the time I shared on this night. I feel like growing up, the idea of getting free candy as a little kid and dressing up as someone you feel is perfect. As I have gotten older, I still love this holiday, but I have grown to love the films that come with it even more. Between Rocky Horror Picture Show and the tremendous variety of Tim Burton classics, my favorite time of Halloween is binge-watching all of the movies with my sister.
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
My Aunt Julie’s Matzoh Ball Soup
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
Travel around the U.S. with my boyfriend (Frank) and make memories together.
Who inspires you to be better?
My sister
